Legal provisions take a long time to be enforced successfully. Therefore, these victims need to be supported by a range of programmes which can provide succour to them within a short period of time. Achieving this objective WDC made provision of a support Fund under Social Rehabilitation Programme aiming its utilization for rehabilitating women and their children who are victims of adverse circumstances and need support for rehabilitation, repatriation and reintegration. So the Legal aid, counselling, crisis intervention, vocational training, assistance for livelihood, education, information, advocacy, etc. could be some of the activities that may be taken up under the programme. A sum of Rs. 95, 10,000.00 has been disbursed to District level Anti Human Trafficking units by making priority of women victim of trafficking, domestic violence, rape, etc.
